ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to cancel the 3 to 5 respondents' father's name i.e. Muthumayan S/o.K.M.Periyakaruppathevar and 6 to 8 respondents'

grandfather's name i.e.

Vellaimayathevar S/o.Periyakaruppathevar in the Patta No.986 and issue the Patta No.986 in the petitioner's husband name M.Pichaimani S/o.M.Muthumayan within a time stipulated by this Court on the basis of the representation dated 22.12.2023.

2. Mr.SRA.Ramachandran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2. Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed, protecting the interest of the other respondents, 2/5

notice to them is dispensed with. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the private respondents were illegally grabbed and possessed the petitioner's property. Hence, she sent a representation on 22.12.2023 to the respondents 1 and 2 requesting them to cancel the name of the father of the respondents 3 to 5 and the name of the grandfather of the respondents 6 to 8 in Patta No.986 and issue fresh patta in her husband's name. Since no action was taken by the respondents 1 and 2, she has filed the present writ petition with the above stated relief. He would further submit that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the respondents 1 and 2, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that the representation of the petitioner and other appropriate documents will be considered in accordance with law. 3/5

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by this petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.12.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
