O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.506 of 2018, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he has given a complaint for the offences under Sections 147, 341 and 506(i) of the Indian Penal Code. On 18.12.2018, based on the above said complaint, a criminal case has been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.506 of 2018. Even though, the case was registered in the month of December, 2018, investigation has not yet been completed.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in Crime No.506 of 2018 is almost over and final report will be filed, within a period of two months, before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
