This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to give police protection and permission to the petitioner to conduct Annual Temple Jothi in Muniyandi Temple situated at Thirupuvanam during Mahasivarathiri by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.01.2020. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

WP.(MD)No.3174 of 2020 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that there are disputes existing between the petitioner and the rival group/respondents 3 and 4 with regard to conducting the temple festival and taking note of the disputes between the parties, the second respondent has referred the matter to the first respondent for conducting peace committee meeting.

4.In view of the same, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to conduct the peace committee meeting after summoning the rival parties. The second respondent is directed to take appropriate action based on the result/outcome of the peace committee meeting. No costs.
