Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to expeditiously dispose of the petitioner's appeal petition dated 05.12.2023 which was preferred against the order of the Tahsildar in Na.Ka.No.A3/355/2023, dated 08.11.2023 within the time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, by consent of parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The petitioner has filed an appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer challenging the order of the Tahsildar passed in November 2023. The said appeal is pending on the file of the Revenue Divisional Officer from 05.12.2023 and the petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the said appeal.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the official respondent submits that the respondent can be directed to pass orders within a period of six weeks on merits and in accordance with law.

5.Considering the pendency of the appeal from December 2023, I am inclined to entertain the writ petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed and the respondent is directed to expedite the hearing of the appeal dated 05.12.2023 and pass final orders on merits 2/4
