ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint given by the third respondent herein, the second respondent police is harassing the petitioner. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and second respondents, on instructions, submitted that a complaint is pending against the petitioner for extortion of money. Hence, the petitioner was called for enquiry, but, without appearing for enquiry, she has filed the present petition seeking the aforesaid relief.

4. Considering the fact that the complaint is pending, the petitioner is directed to appear before the second respondent for the purpose of enquiry and in the course of investigation, the second respondent is directed not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
