ORDER

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of both parties, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2. The petitioner seeks to revise the map in the FMB based on the decree obtained by him in the Civil Suit in O.S.No.85 of 2022, on the file of the Sub Court, Pattukottai. The petitioner has given a representation on 28.12.2024 based on the decree in his favour and has sought for revise of the map. The said representation is now sought to be disposed of by way of present writ petition.

3.Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would bring to my notice that the competent authority is District Revenue Officer, however, the District 2/5

Revenue Officer has not been impleaded in the writ petition. More over, the representation is also of recent origin, hence, I am inclined to pass the following direction:- (i) The petitioner shall give a fresh representation with necessary enclosures to the District Revenue Officer, Thanjavur within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. (ii) The District Revenue Officer, Thanjavur, shall, thereafter, pass orders on the representation on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
