Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3

to delete the name of the 5th respondent in the revenue records bearing survey No.146/6A1 and survey No.150/5A2 of Pallamorkulam Group Keelakkarai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, and issue patta in favour of the petitioner, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 04.11.2024. For Petitioner :

ORDER

With the consent of the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks the limited relief of issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to delete the name of the 5th respondent in the revenue records, bearing survey No.146/6A1 and survey No. 150/5A2 of Pallamorkulam Group, Keelakkarai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, and issue patta in favour of the petitioner, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 04.11.2024.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the competent authority to pass orders on the petitioner's representation, dated 04.11.2024, is the second respondent.

4. Considering the limited prayer sought for, the Writ Petition is allowed, directing the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 04.11.2024, on merit and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the fifth respondent. The said exercise shall be concluded within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. No costs. 04.02.2025 NCC :
