ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue joint patta to the petitioner and four other legal heirs namely, Karupaiah, Rajendran, Jayalakshmi and Ramarajan in Survey Nos.94/8 and 98/3, Vedhiyankudi Village, Nirvilangulam Village, Manalmelkudi Taluk, Pudukottai District, with an extent of respectively 0.13.50 hectare and 0.44.50 hectare by way of removing petitioner's father's name Late.Palani, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 08.01.2026, within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the subject property is ancestral in nature. Though the petitioner submitted application to the respondent seeking to issue joint Patta, no action has been taken till date, compelling the petitioner to file the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.01.2026, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state that in the event of any rival claims, the parties are at liberty to work out their remedies before the Civil Court. There shall be no order as to costs.
