ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose the proceedings vide Na.Ka.No. 8039/2020/A7 dated 21.12.2020 by rectifying the mistake occurred in the Computer Chitta in respect of S.F.763/8A to an extent 0.09.5 Ares in Patta No. 1725 situated in Thennamanadu South Village, Orathanadu Taluk, 2.Mr.D.Gandhi Raj, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the subject property stands in the name of the petitioner's father. After his demise, the petitioner inherited the property from his father and the patta, chitta and adangal also transferred in the petitioner's name by the revenue authorities. The settlement register for S.F.No.763/8A to an extent of 0.09.5 Ares and other properties originally stands in the name of the petitioner and thereafter, transferred and stands in the petitioner's name at the stage of 2/5

UDR. However, during the computer entry, it is wrongly shown as vacant site instead of his name. Hence, he made a representation on 28.10.2020 to the respondents to rectify the said mistake. However, the respondents have not consider the same. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court. He would further submit that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of by the respondents, on merits and in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner and other appropriate documents will be considered in accordance with law.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by this petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, directs the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 28.10.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the interested parties, if any, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
