O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent Police to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.36 of 2019, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he has given a complaint for the offences under Sections 166, 177, 191, 192, 193, 199, 201, 202 and 203 of the Indian Penal Code. On 21.02.2019, based on the above said complaint, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.36 of 2019. Even though, the case was registered in the month of February 2019, investigation has not yet been completed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police on instructions submitted that the respondent police has commenced their investigation and they will complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of one month before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of one month, from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
