Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Senior Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.
2.This writ petition has been filed on 16/02/2021 challenging the communication, dated 29/01/2020 has been rendered infructuous, in the light of the subsequent order, dated 12/10/2021 of the Senior Superintendent (Administration) of the Regional Passport Office, Madurai, whereby exercising the power under sections 6(2)(C) and 62(2)(d) of the Indian Passports Act, 1967, the respondent has decided not to issue the passport to the petitioner on account of the alleged involvement of the petitioner in a Crime in France.
3.Therefore, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed and accordingly, dismissed. No costs.
Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
