ORDER

The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give permission for conducting rally from M.G.R. statute to Chinnappa Park and to give permission for conduct public meeting at Chinnapa Park on 15.02.2024 at Pudukottai Town, Pudukottai District, based on the representation given by the petitioner, dated 01.02.2024.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions of the Respondents, submits that as per the representation, the Petitioner wanted to conduct rally, cultural programme and public meeting, whereas, this Writ Petiiton is filed only for holding rally and public meeting, therefore, he undertakes that the Respondents are ready to dispose of the Petition, if the Petitioner appears before the fourth Respondent Police. 2/4

3. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner also undertakes to file a proper affidavit giving undertaking before the Respondent Police.

4. In the light of the above, the Petitioner is directed to appear before the fourth Respondent Police on 10.02.2024. On such appearance, the Respondents shall consider the representation of the Petitioner and pass appropriate order within two days.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
