: Respondents PRAYER : Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the second respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.1490 of 2017 on the file of the second respondent within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.1490 of 2017 pending on the file of the second respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.1490 of 2017 has been registered for the offence punishable under Sections 406 and 379 IPC by the respondent police. But for more than one year, the respondent police has not taken any action on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the investigation in the complaint given by the petitioner is substantially completed and final report will be filed shortly.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the second respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in the case in Crime No.1490 of 2017 and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
