ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to issue patta for the Government Natham Porampokku Land, Survey No.70, Block No.66, 0.01.0 Ares to the petitioner, based on his representation dated 22.12.2021, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2.According to the petitioner, he is in possession of the aforementioned property. It is his case that he is a landless poor person. In such circumstances, he has given a representation dated 22.12.2021 seeking for grant of patta in his name for the aforementioned property, where he claims to be in possession. Since the representation has not been considered till date, he has filed this writ petition.
3.Heard Mr.R.Murugappan, learned Counsel for the writ petitioner and Ms.S.Jeyapriya, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
4.No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.

W.P.[MD]No.3172 of 2022 5.It is also the contention of the petitioner that he is in possession of the property for more than three years and he has also paid the house tax for the same.
6.Accordingly, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2021 requesting for issuance of patta in his name for the property, being Government Natham Poramboke Land comprised in Survey No.70, Block No.66 measuring an extent of 0.01.0 Ares and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.
7.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
