PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner for his life and limb on the basis of the petitioner's representations dated 12.04.2019 and 25.05.2019. ORDER
This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb based on the representations dated 12.04.2019 and 25.05.2019.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials placed on record.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that there is a dispute with regard to the Administration of a temple and some of the villagers are threatening the petitioner with dire consequences. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the second respondent police to give adequate police protection to her. The said representation was not considered. Hence, the present petition has been filed.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that there is a dispute between two groups in the petitioner's village, who are https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
all relatives, relating to management of the temple. Earlier the petitioner has given a complaint against the other group and the said complaint has been enquired and closed. The petitioner appeared for enquiry and submitted that he will resolve the dispute before the competent civil Court.
5. Considering the fact that the complaint given by the petitioner has been enquired and closed based on the statement made by the petitioner that he will resolve the dispute before the competent civil Court, the prayer as such sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
