: Respondents PRAYER : Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code praying to pass an order of direction directing the second respondent police for filing final report in Crime No.298 of 2018 on the file of the Karungal Police Station in Kanyakumari District.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.298 of 2018 and file a final report.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.298 of 2018 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 294(b), 342, 323, 506(ii) IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 on the file of the respondent police. But so far, no investigation is conducted on the same and hence, the petitioner has come before this Court with the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the investigation in the complaint given by the petitioner is substantially completed and final report will be filed shortly. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the respondent police is directed to complete

the investigation in the case in Crime No.298 of 2018 and file a final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
