PRAYER: Criminal Original petitions have been filed under Section 528 of BNSS to direct the 2nd respondent to give a police protection for the petitioners life and limb based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 30.01.2024.

O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to give a police protection for the petitioner based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 30.01.2024. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that the representation of the petitioner was forwarded to the revenue officials to conduct a peace committee meeting. Based on the resolution passed in the peace committee meeting, they will consider the representation of the petitioner.

3.The learned counsel for the respondents 4 to 8 would submit that there is a property dispute between the parties and police protection cannot be granted for a property dispute.

4.Since the representation of the petitioner has already been forwarded to the revenue officials, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the 3rd respondent after the completion of the proceedings before the revenue authorities.
