Side) appearing for the respondent.

2. The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in Crime No.28 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3. Based on the secret information, the respondent intercepted the accused herein. The petitioner herein managed to escape. The first accused was apprehended. From him, Ganja to the tune of 1 kg 100 grams was recovered.

4.Ofcourse, the quantity involved is rather small, but then, taking note of the fact that the case is under the NDPS Act, it is not a fit case for granting the relief of anticipatory bail. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
