JUDGMENT

(By G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.) None appears for the appellants.

2.The appellants filed W.P.(MD)No.795 of 2021 challenging the inter-departmental communication between Annamalai University and the Government. It was proposed that persons working in Annamalai University will be deputed to work in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. The appellants were then working in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University as Research Fellows. The appellants felt that if deputationists from Annamali University are inducted in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, their prospects will be affected. 2/4

3.The learned Single Judge took a serious note of the conduct of the writ petitioners. He noted that an unofficial copy was procured and based on the same, challenge was mounted. It was in that view of the matter, even while dismissing the writ petition, cost of Rs.10,000/- was imposed.

4.We are of the view that imposition of cost was not really required. Imposition of cost alone is set aside and dismissing the writ petition is confirmed. The writ appeal is partly allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. (G.R.S. J.,) & (R.K.M. J.,) 06.01.2026 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No ias To:
