This Criminal Appeal has been filed to set aside the conviction and sentence imposed as against the appellant by the Special Judge for trial of offences under POCSO Act, Virudhunagar District at Srivilliputhur in Spl.S.C.No.9 of 2021, dated 24.01.2023. 2.Today(14.02.2025), when this Criminal Appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the appellant has filed a memo, dated 22.10.2024 and submits that the appellant died on 11.03.2024.

3.Recording the aforesaid submission, this Criminal Appeal is closed since the charge is abated. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
