O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to investigate and file the final report in Crime No.405 of 2018, on the file of the respondent Police.

2. According to the petitioner, he has given a complaint for the offences under Sections 147, 294(b), 506 (i) and 420 of I.P.C. r/w. Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Charging Exorbitant Interest Act, 2003. On 26.06.2018, based on the above said complaint, a case has been registered by the respondent police in Crime No.405 of 2018. Even though, the case was registered in the month of June 2018, investigation has not yet been completed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) appearing for the respondent police on instructions submitted that the respondent police has commenced their investigation and they will complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of two months before the concerned Jurisdictional Court.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file final report, within a period of two months, from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

5. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
