PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to complete the works which were already initiated by the erstwhile president works namely 1) Construction of Multipurpose Hall at Puliyamarathu Arasai 2) Laying of three paver block roads at Keela Velayuthapuram 3) Laying of three Paver Block Roads at Puliyamarathu arasadi and one paver Block road in Mela Velayuthapuram 4) Starting the works (sanctioned under 15th Finance Commission grant and work order had been issued already) at Keela Velayuthapuram for the year 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 5) Digging concrete well in survey No.302 of the Mela arasadi Village 6) Construction of two bridges over the stream in survey No.302 and to take appropriate departmental action against the 6th and 7th respondent based on petitioner representation dated 09.12.2024 and 30.12.2024 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court. S.SRIMATHY.J Heard Mr.A.D.Ganeshamoorthi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.P.Thilakkumar, learned Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 5. Considering the nature of the order proposed to be passed in this writ petition, notice to the respondents 6 and 7 is dispensed with. 2/5

2.By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3.The petitioner claims that the petitioner has sent representation to the first respondent seeking to complete the works initiated by the erstwhile President, who was transferred to the nearby village on the ground of misappropriation of fund and to take departmental action against the erring officials. The same was forwarded to the fourth respondent. But till today, the representation of the petitioner is kept pending without any progress. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief in this writ petition, he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents 1 to 4 to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 30.12.2024, in accordance with law, within a time frame.

5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner either in the representation or in the affidavit filed in support of the 3/5

Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.12.2024 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight [8] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
