This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the case in Crime No.2022/2017 on the file of the Inspector of Police (Crime), Thallakulam Police Station, Madurai City

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner introduced the other accused to the defacto complainant and made a false promise for getting job in Government sector by demanding some money from the defacto complainant and his friends. Hence, the defacto complainant paid the said amount to the accused persons. But the accused persons failed to arrange the job as promised. Hence, the defacto complainant lodged a complaint before the first respondent and a case has been registered in Crime No.2022 of 2017 for offences under Sections 294(b), 406, 420, 506(ii) IPC on 26.10.2017.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that in this case, investigation has been completed and final report has been filed before the Judicial Magistrate-II, Madurai through e-filing in C.C.No.6126 of 2022.

4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with a a liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate action with regard to final report. The Judicial Magistrate - II, is directed to take on file immediately and proceed further, if it is otherwise in order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
