ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family from the respondents 4 to 9.
2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the owner of the properties in plot Nos.36, 37 and 38 situated at Nilaiyur Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai. While so, the respondents 4 and 9 in order to grab the 2/5
property, created forged documents and also they threatened the petitioner and attacked the petitioner on 10.01.2024. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint, dated 20.01.2025 through a registered post to the respondents 1 to 3. But no action was taken by the respondents. Hence, the present petition.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents would submit that they have received the complaint from the petitioner in respect of the forged documents and the same is under enquiry with the District Crime Branch, Madurai. As far as the threatenings are concerned, already the matter was referred to the third respondent and CSR number was also given and the same is also now under enquiry. Therefore, they will complete the enquiry within a week and then act in accordance with law.

Since there is a property dispute pending between the parties and the representation of the petitioner also under consideration by the concerned respondents, it is appropriate to direct the respondents to complete the enquiry within the stipulated time. Accordingly, the respondents 2 and 3 are directed to complete the enquiry within a period of 15 days from the date of this order and to act in accordance with law on merits.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
