PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.19 of 2024 within a time frame as fixed by this Court and file charge sheet in accordance with law.

This petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.19 of 2024 within the stipulated Page No. 1 of 4

time fixed by the Court.

2. According to the petitioner, he lodged a complaint as against the accused on 22.03.2024 and based on the complaint, FIR has been registered in Crime No.19 of 2024 for the offences under Section 420 of IPC and Section 66 D of the Information Technology (Amendment) Act, 2008. Thereafter, no proper investigation was conducted and so far, they have not failed the charge sheet. Therefore, he filed this petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that there were online money transactions between the parties and the amounts were transferred on various accounts. So far, they have identified 80 accounts and they need to get particulars of the various account from various banks. Most of the accounts are in North India and therefore, there is a delay in completing the investigation. However, they will complete the investigation within a period of three months.

In view of the above said representation of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also accepting the reasons stated by the respondent, it is appropriate to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file final report with a period of three months from the date of receipt of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
