O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA, J.] Alleging non-compliance of the order, dated 06.07.2023, passed in W.P. (MD)No.16240 of 2023, this contempt petition is filed.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the direction of this Court, dated 06.07.2023 made in W.P(MD)No.16240 of 2023, has been complied with and the representation seeking premature release of the petitioner was considered and it was rejected by the Government vide G.O(D)No.71, Home (Prison-IV) Department, dated 23.01.2024.

3. It is seen from the records that the order of rejection was also served on the prisoner on 09.02.2024, however affidavit of the petitioner is dated 03.02.2024.
