ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking directing to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner and his family members under the guise of enquiry.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that his granddaughter got married to one Kannan, who is said to have involved in a crime registered in Crime No.925 of 2017. Against the said Kannan warrant is also pending, now under the guise of investigation in the said crime, the second respondent police is harassing the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), on instructions, would submit that warrant is pending against the husband of petitioner's granddaughter. In order to execute the warrant, the second respondent police conducted search in the house belong to the petitioner. He would further submit that the second respondent police has not harassed the petitioner.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), this Criminal Original Petition is closed. However, the second respondent police is directed not to harass the petitioner in the guise of investigation.
