ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner/sole accused, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 13.10.2015 for the alleged offences punishable under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code and M.O(IV)(P) Act in Crime No.249 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had committed theft of Rs.1,500/- from the defacto complainant and thereby a case has been registered against the petitioner.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has not committed any offence and a false case has been foisted against the petitioner by the respondent police.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submitted that there are two other cases pending against the petitioner in Sivagangai and Paramakudi respectively. He would further submit that the address given by the petitioner is not correct and if she is released on bail, she will abscond.

5. Considering the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
