ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to accept the property tax and issue separate patta with regard to the property comprised in old Survey 1/3

No.2996/3, present Survey No.202 of Kadayal Village of Kanyakumari District by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 05.01.2022.

2. It is noticed that the petitioners' representation, dated 05.01.2022 has not received appropriate attention. Earlier, the first respondent by a communication, dated 02.02.2018 had called upon the second respondent to examine the issue relating to issue of land tax for the property. It appears no further action was taken so far. In a similar writ petition in W.P(MD)No.8717 of 2018 by an order, dated 19.04.2018, writ petition was disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner therein within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. I am inclined to follow the aforesaid order by directing the respondents to dispose of the petitioners' representation, dated 05.01.2022, in the light of the proceedings of the first respondent, dated 02.02.2018 within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The second respondent shall pass appropriate orders within the aforesaid period. It is needless to state that the petitioner shall also be heard before such orders passed.

4. With the above observation, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
