ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to take action against the 6th respondent, who is attempting to establish a Shrimp Farm near the agricultural fields.

2. The 5th respondent has filed a counter. It is stated in the counter that the complaint given by the petitioner was taken on file and notice was also issued to the 6th respondent for enquiry. It is further stated in the counter that if the 6th respondent proceeds to establish a Shrimp farm without any permission, action will also be initiated against the 6th respondent under the relevant Act and Rules.

3. The counter affidavit is accompanied by an undertaking letter given by the 6th respondent to the effect that the Shrimp farm will not be established without getting the necessary permission from the Pollution Control Board and Coastal Aqua Culture authority and without getting the necessary license from the concerned authorities. This undertaking letter has been made part of the counter filed by the 5th respondent.

4. In view of the specific undertaking given by the 6th respondent, the same is recorded and this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
