Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.01.2026 and to restore and confirm his round-2 B.A.M.S., admission in the 2nd respondent College and to issue necessary instructions to the 2nd respondent college.

ORDER

The petitioner was allotted BAMS seat at Immanvel Arasar Ayurvedic Medical College, Kanyakumari District in the second round of counselling and seems to have joined the college after paying admission fee of Rs.25,000/- and the admission has been confirmed by the said institution. However, in round 3 of counselling, the petitioner was allotted BUMS seat at 4th respondent college vide allotment dated 18.11.2025 and 2/6

status was generated stating that the petitioner has been relieved from BAMS and allotted to BUMS. The petitioner states that he has not joined BUMS and not paid any fees, etc.,

Therefore allotment of BUMS seat in third round of counselling is only provisional and since he did not physically joined in BUMS course, the status report generated and relieved from BAMS course cannot be given effect to and therefore submit a representation to that effect. The said representation has not been considered is the grievance of the petitioner.

3. Mr.V.Malaiyendran, learned Central Government Standing counsel for the first respondent submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of directing the first respondent to consider the representation dated 09.01.2026 submitted by the petitioner on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
