O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the petitioner's son, the detenu Divakaran, S/o.Murugesan, aged about 29 years, before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the detenu Divakaran is the son of the petitioner. He would further submit that the primary investigation reveals that the petitioner's son has eloped with one Subalakshmi who aged about 19 years and the mother of the aforesaid Subalakshmi has preferred a complaint, based on which a case was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.2793 of 2020 registered by the respondent police in Crime No.36 of 2020 under the caption 'women missing'. He would further submit that the respondents are taking steps to track the said Subalakshmi and the petitioner's son. He would further submit that the investigation is still pending and this petition is a premature stage and he also seeks time to file final report.

4. In view of the aforesaid submission, direction is issued to the first respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of Three Months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order, before the concerned jurisdictional Magistrate.

5. With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
