ORDER

The present petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to issue Non Traceable Certificate to the petitioner towards the Sale Deed vide Document No. 408/1992 registered with Sub Registrar Office, Thiruppuvanam, Sivagangai District, based on the compliant, dated 18.09.2024.

According to the petitioner, the petitioner misplaced the document of original sale deed in Document No.408/1992 on 18.09.2020 when he was in the Iyengar Tea Stall / Mahalakshmi Juice Corner, Sakkudi Junction within the limit of third respondent. Immediately on the same day, the petitioner lodged a complaint before the respondents through online portal and the same was also acknowledged. Thereafter, no step was taken and not issued non traceable certificate. Therefore, the petitioner filed the petition.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that the complaint of the petitioner is under consideration and they will complete the enquiry and dispose of the same within one week.

Considering the limited scope of prayer sought for in this petition and also recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents that they will complete the enquiry and pass suitable orders within a week, this Court is inclined to dispose of the petition by directing the third respondent to complete the enquiry and to pass appropriate orders within a period of one (1) week from the date of this order.

5. With the above said observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. 20.02.2025 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes BTR 3/5
