W.P(MD)No.3129 of 2020 3.The case of the petitioner is that he had given a representation dated 10.10.2019 to the respondents seeking permission to conduct the Vaikasi Festival in Arulmighu Kannimar Karuppanna swamy Temple at Thogamalai Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District. Since the respondents have not taken any steps in this regard, the petitioner has approached this Court with the present Writ Petition.

4.Mr.VR.Shanmuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent as well as Mr.Aathimoola Pandian, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that Temple in question is a private Temple and it does not come under the purview of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment Board. Therefore, it is open to the petitioner to conduct the Vaikasi Festival in Arulmighu Kannimar Karuppanna swamy Temple at Thogamalai Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur District with the help of the Authority who controls all the activities of the Temple and there is no necessity seeking for a direction to the respondent in that regard.

It is also made clear that it is open to the petitioner to conduct the Vaikasi Festival without any hindrance to the public.
