O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to his life and limb for the petitioner and his family members by considering his representation dated 20.01.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the property comprised in S.No.508/2B situated at Oliyamangalam Village, Ponnamaravathi Taluk, Pudukottai District. He made an application before the third respondent to survey and demarcate the property. When the Revenue officials attempted to survey the land the respondent Nos.4 to 6 2/6

have made obstructions. Therefore, the petitioner approached the respondent Nos.1 and 2 and submitted his representation dated 20.01.2025, seeking adequate police protection. So far no action was taken by the respondent police. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the Respondent Nos.1 & 2 would submit that they received complaint and issued CSR.No.3 of 2025. Now, the enquiry is under progress and they will complete the enquiry within a week. Since, the prayer is for police protection in respect of the property, without any decree in favour of the petitioner, the relief cannot be granted.

4. In view of the above said submissions of the learned Government Advocate, this Court is of the view that without any executable decree, this Court cannot order for police protection. However, the representation of the petitioner is under consideration by the second respondent. Hence, it is for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2025 in accordance with law. Accordingly, this Court directs the 3/6

second respondent to dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2025 in accordance with law within one weeks from the date of this order.

5. With the above said observations and directions, this Criminal original Petition is disposed of.
