2.The petitioners herein are resident of Burma Colony, Pottalpudur Village. They want providing of new water connection to the respective houses. They had given representation in this regard. Since it was not acted upon, this writ petition came to be filed.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the petitioners would be provided with house tap water connections under the proposed Jal Jeevan scheme. But then, the scheme itself is to be implemented only in the year 2021.
4.At this stage, the petitioners' counsel states that the petitioners would join together and they would bear the cost of providing petition mentioned connection.
5.If the petitioners are willing to bear the cost, I am of the view that the respondents need not have any objection. The petitioners are directed to submit a proposal in this regard. The petitioners are also directed to deposit the costs to be estimated by the respondents. The respondents are directed to approve the proposal to be submitted by the petitioners without any delay, if it is otherwise in order.
6.This writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
