The petitioner has come forward with this petition praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the petitioners for fencing of their house plots to an extent of 2.5 cents each situated in Survey Nos.97, 98, 99, at Deivacheyalpuram, Thoothukudi District, comprised in Patta No.31, based on their representations dated 16.11.2015.

2.I have heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case the 2nd respondent is directed to provide police protection to the petitioners for fencing of their house plots to an extent of 2.5 cents each situated in Survey Nos.97, 98, 99, at Deivacheyalpuram, Thoothukudi District,

comprised in Patta No.31, based on their representations dated 16.11.2015, for a period of 15 days. It is made clear that before providing police protection, the 2nd respondent is directed to give an opportunity of hearing to the 3rd respondent and the other persons, who are likely to be affected.

4.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
