ORDER

The petitioner's father M.Kaliyaperumal, who was working as a Watchman at Arasar Vazithangal Manai (Chatram Administration), Thanjavur, died on 18.01.2009, while in service. The petitioner, seeking employment on compassionate ground, has submitted a representation to the respondents and also filed this writ petition.

2. Mr.C.Venkatesh Kumar, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents and has raised a preliminary objection for entertaining this writ petition that the petitioner is not entitled for compassionate appointment that her brother has already been appointed on compassionate ground and he also died. Now, the petitioner is claiming for compassionate appointment. The learned Special Government Pleader has also relied on the Tamil Nadu Civil Services (Appointment on Compassionate Grounds) Rules 2023 and submits that as per Rule 6, the maximum age limit for any compassionate appointment 2/4

shall be 40 years. Now, the petitioner is aged about 50 years and therefore, she is not entitled for any relief of compassionate appointment.

3. In view of the said submission, this Court is not inclined to entertain this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
