By consent, this Writ Petition is taken for final hearing.

2. Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 3.

3.This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus to give a direction to the second respondent to give suitable instructions to the third respondent, to conduct fair investigation on the basis of the complaints given by the petitioner, dated 22.01.2021 and 25.01.2021 within a stipulated time.

4.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that the petitioner is working in a Financial Company, he was threatened by the fifth respondent with a knife and the fifth respondent took away Rs.2,500/- from the petitioner. WP(MD)No.3527 of 2021 before the respondent police, but, no action was taken against the fifth respondent and prayed for the completion of the investigation. 5.On the side of the respondent police, it is stated that the complaint of the petitioner was registered as C.S.R.No.37 of 2021 and enquiry is going on.

6.In view of the submissions made by both the parties, this Court directs the respondent police to expedite the investigation and to file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
