ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the Learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for Scheduled Castes and scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Karur to accept the surrender of the petitioner and consider his Bail application and grant bail on the same date of surrender itself in connection with the case in Crime No.28 of 2026, registered on 19.01.2026 on the file of the second respondent police.
2. Considering the nature of the relief sought for, notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

3. The case of the prosecution is that on 17.01.2026, when the defacto complainant and his friend came by two wheeler from Varagur to Mettupatti to purchase mutton, one person who came by cycle on the opposite side in a rash and negligent manner, caused a rash contact with his right eye for which the de-facto complainant had already undergone surgery. When he questioned the same, 10 persons assembled together, attacked the de-facto complainant by hands and abused him by referring his caste name, in which the de-facto complainant sustained injury. Based on these allegations, an FIR has been registered against the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought for, this Court hereby direct the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special Court for Scheduled Castes and scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, Karur, to issue prior notice to the de facto complainant and thereafter to consider the bail application of the 3/5
petitioner on the same day of his surrender before that Court in connection with Crime No.28 of 2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.
