Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ of Madamus praying this Court to directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18 percentage per annum, for the period of delay from 1.5.18 to 21.9.19 in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal and pension benefits of the petitioner namely EPF Employees contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned/sick leaves and commutated value of pension, within a time.

O R D E R

This contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order, dated 27.01.2020, made in W.P.(MD) No.1579 of 2020.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents made a submission pursuant to the orders of this Court, 80% of the benefits due to the petitioner have been settled and the remaining benefits will be settled within a period of six weeks.

3. Recording the above submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents, the contempt petition is closed. However, after settlement of the benefits, if any grievance exists regarding calculation or otherwise, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the Competent Authority for redressal of his grievance in the manner known to law.
