ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to re-issue the passport of the Petitioner bearing No.Z5253543 on File No.MD2072792315920 by considering the representation of the Petitioner, dated 11.2.2020. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was issued with a passport in Passport NO.Z5253543 and it was renewed on 3.4.2019 and it expires on 2.4.2029. Since the said pass port is in a damaged condition, the Petitioner has applied through online for getting a new one, replacing the damaged one. While so, the Petitioner was issued with a show-cause notice seeking clarification as well as explanation regarding the pendency of criminal cases against him and the Petitioner had also submitted https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
his detailed explanation/representation on 11.2.2020 to the respondent. The same is said to be still pending, without any progress. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.
4. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 11.02.2020 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
