ORDER

This criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., praying to withdraw the case in Cr.No.95 of 2014 from the file of the second respondent police and hand over the same to any other investigation agency.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's son met with an accident on 23.08.2014 and died owing to severe injuries. A motorcycle hit him and the number of the vehicle involved in the accident had not been taken note of by the eyewitnesses to the accident. The learned Counsel further submitted that the respondent police have not taken adequate steps to ascertain the same, though occurrence had occurred close to the bus stop and CCTV camera was available at the College in front of which the occurrence took place.

4. Considering the submissions of the learned Counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that best efforts should be taken to complete the investigation. In these circumstances, there shall be a direction to the respondent police to conduct proper enquiry and complete the investigation and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.
