The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the respondent to file a final report in Crime No.1464 of 2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police (Law and Order), Madurai City, Vilakkuthoon, Madurai District.

2.Mr.R.Erottuchamy, learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent, on instructions, would contend that the investigation in Crime No. 1464 of 2020 on the file of Inspector of Police (Law and Order), Vilakkuthoon, Madurai City, is underway and prayed for three months time to file a final report.

3.Considering the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), the respondent is directed to expedite the investigation and file a final report/referred charge sheet, as the case may be in Crime No.1464 of 2020 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order.
