This petition is filed under section 482 of Cr PC to grant direction, directing the Learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Kovilpatti to complete the trial expeditiously in S.C.No.180 of 2014 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Honourable Court.

This petition is coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the earlier order dated 20.04.2018 and also the letter from the Subordinate Judge, Kovilpatti vide D.No.1965 dated 13.08.2018 seeking extension of time and upon hearing the arguments of Mr.M.Prabu Advocate for the petitioner and of Mr.K.K.Ramakrishnan Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent, the Court made the following order:

The time sought for by the Court below is granted. 2.The Court below is strictly directed to conclude the proceedings pending in S.C.No.180 of 2014 on the file of the Sub Judge, Kovilpatti, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and report compliance to the Registry, without fail.
