ORDER
Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.
2. Considering the limited relief sought for in the writ petition, with the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. The petitioner seeks issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the enquiry proceedings in Na.Ka.No. 5175/2024 D2expeditiously.
4. The petitioner has made an application to the Tahsildar on 12.04.2022, seeking cancellation of patta by rectification of the ownership records.

5. According to the petitioner, his appeal with the 1st respondent / District Revenue Officer has been pending from the year 2022. However, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 on instructions submits that the 2nd respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer has already conducted an enquiry and reported to the 1st respondent / District Revenue Officer and within a reasonable time, 1st respondent / District Revenue Officer would pass orders. Therefore, he submits that suitable directions may be issued in this regard.
6. Considering the contention of the respective parties, it would be suffice to direct the 1st respondent / District Revenue Officer to conclude the enquiry proceedings within a period of eight (8) weeks from today.
7. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations and directions. No cost.
