2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.02.2020.

4. The case of the petitioner is that her husband is a whole sale rice and paddy merchant and he is doing business in the name and style of Bala Traders at Karumpuliyuthu Village, Alangulam. She made a representation to the second respondent dated 11.02.2020, to drop action for detaining her husband under Act 7 of 1980 and to take action against the third respondent police. The said representation is still pending. Hence, she has come out with this writ petition.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2020 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
