PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fifth respondent to provide police permission and protection to perform the festival of Sri Arulmighu Ponmadasamy Koil Kilaeeral at Tutucorin Distrct on the basis of the representation given the petitioner to the first to fifth respondents dated 27.01.2023 within stipulated time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the fifth respondent to provide police permission and protection to perform the festival of Sri Arulmighu Ponmadasamy Koil Kilaeeral at Tutucorin Distrct on the basis of the representation given the petitioner to the first to fifth respondents dated 27.01.2023 within a time frame.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the third respondent herein has conducted a peace committee meeting and since the petitioner has not co-operated, the third respondent passed an order to close the temple and that both the parties have agreed to abide by the decisions in a case pending before the Principal Seat.

3.Recording the above said submission, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
