PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to promote the petitioners as Junior Assistant in Arulmigu Thayumanaswami Thirukovil, Malaikottai, Thiruchirappalli, by considering the representation of the petitioner's dated 09.05.2023 and in pursuant to the recommendation of the 3rd respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.215/2021/A7, dated 06.06.2023, within a period stipulated time by this Court. ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by the five petitioners, who are working as Last Grade Servants/Guard in the fourth respondent temple, seeking a mandamus to consider their representations to be promoted as Junior Assistant pursuant to the recommendation made by the third respondent. 2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioners, all the petitioners were appointed as Last Grade Servants/Guard on 12.01.2011. They are working in the said post for the past 13 years. On 06.06.2023, the 2/5

fourth respondent has sent a communication to the second respondent recommending that the petitioners may be appointed as Junior Assistants. Even though, the second respondent is in receipt of the said recommendation, so far, orders have not been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the recommendation of the fourth respondent dated 06.06.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
