O R D E R
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to admit the petitioner's son, namely Minor Y.Lijin, in the XI Standard (Computer Science Group) in the fourth respondent School or in any other Government Higher Secondary School in the locality.
2. The petitioner's son, who was studying in the XI Standard in the fourth respondent School, was shifted from the Computer Science Group to the Agricultural Science Group due to certain acts of indiscipline in the School. Thereafter, the petitioner's son was issued with a Transfer Certificate on 28.10.2025. However, he has not joined any other School thereafter. 2/5
3. The petitioner has filed an undertaking affidavit dated 04.02.2026. Paragraph Nos.2 and 3 of the said affidavit are extracted as follows: "2. I respectfully submit that the above writ petition is filed for writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to admit my son in XI standard ( Computer Science Group) in the 4th respondent School or any other Government Higher Secondary School in the locality.
2. I undertake that my son Y.Lijin will concentrate only on his studies and will maintain discipline and good conduct in the school. I further undertake that he will not indulge in any disobedient activity. Now my son wants to pursue Agricultural Science Group and I assure that my son will make sincere efforts to secure good marks in the public examinations."
4. In view of the said affidavit, the fourth respondent is directed to readmit the student in XI Standard in the Agricultural Science Group. The petitioner is directed to ensure that his son focuses on his studies in future.
5. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
